While at EMI Music/Capitol Records (now Universal Music Group), I worked on the Digital Marketing team, where I developed and managed web and social media properties, campaigns, and partnerships for the label’s roster of artists throughout their album release and touring lifecycles.

Artists: Katy Perry, David Guetta, Norah Jones, Emile Sande, Robert Glasper Experiment, Jane’s Addiction, Beastie Boys, and many more.

A few highlighted projects I managed include:

  • Katy Perry’s mobile app management during her “Teenage Dream” album release and world tour, including copywriting for the mobile app description and other in-app content

  • A campaign with monthly subscription service Birchbox and Tristan Prettyman for her “Cedar + Gold” album release, which included free downloads featured in the September 2012 box, guest blogs, box opening video, and a featured performance at the Birchbox Fashion Week pop up event in New York City

  • A video collaboration with KT Tunstall and YouTube’ers to recreate her single, “Glamour Puss”, which included the script for her introduction video, curation of submissions, and partnership with video producer to compile the final edit

  • A remix contest with Indaba Music (now Splice) for Jane’s Addiction’s single, “Irresistible Force”.
